San Francisco, Calif. (Oct. 29, 2018) – Due to unfavorable swell conditions, Red Bull Heavy Water has been postponed until 2019. We thank everyone involved for their patience and understanding.
We look forward to bringing the world’s best male and female SUP athletes back to San Francisco in 2019 where they will battle a 12km course from Aquatic Park under the iconic Golden Gate bridge concluding with a surf battle and finish at Ocean Beach.

While it is disappointing not to see Red Bull Heavy Water take place in 2018, the year is far from over as we all eyes now turn to Paris, for the single largest Stand Up Paddle Race in the World and the APP World Tour Finals.
With over 2,000 entries filed for 2018 and 800 spots available, this year’s Nautic Paddle will be the biggest and best yet, as it will also witness the culmination of the 2018 World Title Race and host the crowning of the APP World Champions.
With the Title Race intensifying for the Men, it is Arthur Arutkin from France, Michael Booth from Australia and Connor Baxter from Hawaii all battling it out for the Crown, with the Frenchman coming into the Final leg of the Tour in the #1 spot.
Meanwhile in the Women, the battle between Mentor and Apprentice continues, as Candice Appleby builds momemtum from the US leg of the Tour in New York and Dana Point and looks at Paris for her opportunity to take back the top spot from the young talent, Shae Foudy.
Join us for all the action in Paris on December 8th – 9th, and take in one of Europe’s premier Boat Shows, the Salon Nautique as it all comes down to the wire here on the APP World Tour. Stay tuned for the build up and live action from Paris at www.appworldtour.com and across social media @appworldtour
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria will then wrap the season in style, with the Final stop of the Surfing World Tour for 2018. The event will be held up in the Island’s Capital City of Las Palmas, to the end of Playa de Las Canteras, where a deeper water, right hand point break can be found, exposed to the full power of the Atlantic Ocean’s winter swells.
It will be the ideal finale to the 2018 season and provide a perfect compliment to the Long Beach Stop in New York from back in September, as we look to crown the 2018 APP World Champions for both Men and Women in dramatic fashion.
Entries are now open at www.appworldtour.com with the Trials Event providing unqiue opportunities for Open participation, as well as the APP’s signature Youth Competition, all capped off with the prestigious Main Event. Make sure to reserve your spot now, or just join us in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria for the show!
Stay tuned for all the build up and tune into all the action live at www.appworldtour.com and across social media @appworldtour
