WHO’S ON THE STARTING LINE FOR 2018 RED BULL HEAVY WATER?

2018 RED BULL HEAVY WATER: ANTICIPATION BUILDS

By now we’ve all heard the stories of the heaving swell, the bone crushing shore break and tidal rips at Ocean Beach, San Francisco – home of the Red Bull Heavy Water – to know that this extreme SUP racing event is as pure blooded as it gets.

Last year, on October 20th 2017, the Red Bull Heavy Water was given the green light during the ‘swell of the century’ where surf maxed out in the 20+ foot range.

Everyone is anticipating this year’s swell … and the addition of women to the event. For the first time in the event’s history, the APP World Tour has a start list that includes 10 women who will partake in the extreme conditions surrounding the Red Bull Heavy Water. They will compete on the same race course, in the same conditions and for the same amount of prize money as the men.

We are excited to hear them roar.
